People may have all kinds of disagreement on what is the root of evil, but one thing is very clear: The lack of money management is the root of all headaches!
It is prudent not to allow your finances to drag your family this way and that way like a wild horse. You must take charge of your money and manage it well. What can a family jointly do to ensure hassle free and harmonious money management? Here are 5 tips:
1. Draw up a budget

When funds are clearly allocated for various activities, there is less likelihood of impulsive and regrettable expenditure. Teach yourself and family members to draw up a simple balance sheet so that everyone knows what records of bills, receipts and transactions are to be maintained. Also scrutinize your bank and credit card statement carefully to avoid identity theft and to be aware of hidden costs.
2. Have regular family ‘board’ meetings

Update everyone on the money front and check if your children or spouse need additional funds for unforeseen expenses. Put across your disapproval of wasteful or impulsive buying in a sensitive way.
3. Encourage everyone to come up with new cost saving ideas

These must also have an element of fun. Instead of going for a paid vacation, organize a cleanup of a neglected area of your community and hold a potluck picnic there. Organize and visit garage sales and auctions to avail of low cost deals.
4. Evaluate your housing mortgage and health insurance costs

If it makes sense to move house to save money, consult your family and take a decision.
5. Write a will

The Expert Patients Programm

The Expert Patients Programme (EPP) is a self-management programme for people who are living with a chronic (long-term) condition. The aim is to support people who have a chronic condition by:
increasing their confidence
improving their quality of life
helping them manage their condition more effectively
What is a chronic condition?

Chronic health conditions are conditions that can be controlled but not cured. Living with a chronic condition can have a significant impact on a person's quality of life, as well as on their family and carers.
Common chronic conditions include the following.
arthritis: a painful condition that affects the joints and bones
asthma: a condition that causes inflammation (swelling) in the airways of the lungs
diabetes: a condition that is caused by too much glucose in the blood
epilepsy: a condition that causes repeated fits (seizures)
heart disease: when the heart's blood supply is blocked or interrupted
multiple sclerosis: a condition of the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord)
In England, there are 15.4 million people living with a chronic condition. This figure is expected to increase as the population ages, and if people continue to make unhealthy lifestyle choices.
The EPP

The EPP is an NHS initiative that was launched in 2002 to help patients with chronic conditions to take control of their lives. The basis of the programme is a training course that teaches people how to manage their conditions by using five core skills. These are:
problem solving
decision making
making the best use of resources
developing effective partnerships with healthcare providers
taking appropriate action
The EPP has been so successful that a national Expert Patients Programme Community Interest Company (EPP CIC) was launched in April 2007. Community Interest Companies are a form of social enterprise (businesses that are set up to meet a public need and reinvest their profits for the public good).
The EPP CIC provides free courses for people with a chronic condition to help them manage their condition better on a daily basisExpert patients

Many GPs who care for people with chronic (long-term) conditions say that the patient understands the condition better than they do. This is not surprising. Many patients become experts as they learn to cope with their chronic conditions.
There is evidence that, with proper support, people with a chronic condition can take the lead in managing their condition. This helps to improve their health and quality of life, and reduces their incapacity (lack of strength or ability).
An expert patient is someone who:
feels confident and in control of their life
aims to manage their condition and its treatment in partnership with healthcare professionals
communicates effectively with professionals and is willing to share responsibility for treatment
is realistic about how their condition affects them and their family
uses their skills and knowledge to lead a full life
Self-management

Self-management programmes are not simply about educating you about your condition. They also aim to enable you to take control of your health by learning new skills to manage your condition on a daily basis.
The primary method behind EPP was developed in California by Kate Lorig, an American professor. Her work with people with arthritis made her realise that many people with the condition have developed ways of coping and solving problems.
Professor Lorig and some of her colleagues decided to pool this information and develop a course that would help people manage their own arthritis. They realised that the problems that are faced by people with arthritis are often faced by people with other chronic conditions. For example:
pain management
stress (when too much pressure is placed on you)
low self-image
depression (feelings of extreme sadness, despair or inadequacy)
This led to the development of the Chronic Disease Self-Management Course, on which EPP courses are based.

About EPP courses

Expert Patients Programme (EPP) courses are open to anyone who is over 18 and living with a chronic (long-term) condition.
The EPP Course

The original EPP course covers the following topics:
dealing with pain and extreme tiredness
coping with feelings of depression
relaxation techniques and exercises
healthy eating
communicating with family, friends and healthcare professionals
planning for the future
The course is free and consists of six consecutive weekly sessions, with each session lasting around two-and-a-half hours. The sessions are run by two tutors who both have a chronic condition. You can participate as much or as little as you wish.
Alternative courses

Most EPP courses are designed to deal with any type of chronic condition, although some courses focus on a specific condition. For example, there is a course on diabetes and one on persistent (day-to-day) pain. There are also several courses for parents and guardians of children with chronic conditions.

Children 12-18 years of age

If you are 12-18 years of age and you are living with a chronic condition, there are workshops available for you. These are run by tutors who are 14-25 years of age and who also live with a chronic condition. You can find out more about the workshops on the Staying Positive website.
The benefits

According to research, the benefits of self-management include:
reducing the severity of symptoms
significantly decreasing pain
improving life control and activity
improving resourcefulness and life satisfaction
In particular, one survey of 1,000 people who had taken part in an EPP found that they:
felt more confident that their symptoms would not interfere with their lives
felt better prepared for appointments with healthcare professionals
made fewer visits to their GP
made fewer visits to accident and emergency (A&E)
An evaluation of the EPP by the National Primary Care Research and Development Centre (NPCRDC) found that the EPP course increased people’s self-efficacy (their self-confidence to change their behaviour). The results also highlighted that the number of overnight stays in hospitals was reduced, and that the overall amount that people used health services remained the same.

 Arthritis is a common condition that causes pain and inflammation (swelling) of the joints and bones. The main symptoms of  arthritis include:
pain
stiffness
restricted movements of the joints
inflammation and swelling
warmth and redness of the skin over the joint
In the UK, arthritis is a very common condition, affecting over nine million people.
The most common forms of arthritis are:
osteoarthritis
rheumatoid arthritis
The characteristics of these two conditions are discussed below. Other types of arthritis are listed in the box, below left.
What is osteoarthritis?

Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis in the UK, affecting an estimated 8.5 million people.
In people affected by osteoarthritis, the cartilage (connective tissue) between their bones gradually wastes away (degenerates), leading to painful rubbing of bone on bone in the joints. The most frequently affected joints are in the:
hands
spine
knees
hips
Osteoarthritis often develops in people who are over 50 years of age. However, it can develop at any age as a result of an injury or another joint-related condition.
The cause of osteoarthritis is not fully understood. One theory is that some people are genetically predisposed to developing osteoarthritis, which means that they have an increased likelihood of inheriting it from their parents. However, this theory has not yet been proven.

What is rheumatoid arthritis?

Rheumatoid arthritis is a more severe, but less common, form of arthritis than osteoarthritis. It occurs when the body's immune system attacks and destroys the affected joints, causing pain and swelling to occur. This can lead to a reduction in movement and the breakdown of bone and cartilage.
In the UK, rheumatoid arthritis affects around 350,000 people, and it often starts between 40 and 50 years of age. Women are three times more likely to be affected by the condition than men.
Rheumatoid arthritis is caused by a fault in the immune system (the body’s natural defence against illness and infection) that makes the body attack its own tissues. The fault may be inherited genetically (passed on from a family member).

Arthritis and children

Arthritis is often associated with older people, but sometimes it can also affect children. This is known as juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). However, JIA is uncommon, affecting about one in 1,000 children.
The main types of JIA are discussed briefly below.
Oligo-articular JIA

Oligo-articular JIA is the most common type of JIA. It affects four or fewer joints in the body, most commonly in the knees, ankles and wrists.
Oligo-articular JIA has good recovery rates and long-term effects are rare.
However, there is a risk that children with the condition may develop eye problems, so it is advised that they should have regular eye checks with an eye care specialist (ophthalmologist).
Polyarticular JIA (or polyarthritis)

Polyarticular JIA (or polyarthritis) is type of JIA that affects five or more joints. It can develop at any age during childhood.
The symptoms of polyarticular JIA are similar to those of adult rheumatoid arthritis. The condition is often accompanied by a rash and a high temperature (fever) of 38C (100.4F) or above.
Systemic onset JIA

Systemic onset JIA begins with symptoms such as a fever, rash, lethargy (a lack of energy) and enlarged glands. Later on, joints may become swollen and inflamed. Like polyarticular JIA, systemic onset JIA can affect children of any age.
Enthesitis-related arthritis

Enthesitis-related arthritis is a type of juvenile arthritis that affects older boys or teenagers. The condition can cause pain in the soles of the feet and around the knee and hip joints, where the ligaments attach to the bone.

Outlook

There is no cure for arthritis, but there are a number of treatments that can help to slow down the condition’s progress. Medication can help to relieve the symptoms of arthritis and, in severe cases, surgery may be recommended.
For osteoarthritis, analgesics (painkillers), non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and corticosteroids are often prescribed. In very severe cases, surgical procedures may be recommended such as:
arthroplasty (joint replacement therapy
arthodesis (joint fusion)
osteotomy (the addition or removal of bone)

In treating rheumatoid arthritis, the aim is to slow down the condition’s progress and minimise joint damage. Treatments that may be recommended for rheumatoid arthritis include:
analgesics (painkillers)
disease modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs)
physiotherapy
regular exercise

There are several support groups, such as Arthritis Research UK and Arthritis Care that offer advice and support for people with arthritis and their families.

There are over 200 different types of rheumatic diseases (conditions that cause aches and pains in a person’s bones, joints and muscles).

Some of the most common types of arthritis include:
ankylosing spondylitis - a chronic (long-term) type of arthritis that affects the bones, muscles and ligaments of the spine
cervical spondylitis - also known as degenerative osteoarthritis, cervical spondylitis affects the joints and bones in the neck
fibromyalgia - a condition that causes pain in the muscles, ligaments and tendons, as well as all over the body
lupus - a chronic (long-term) condition that causes inflammation in the body's tissues
gout - a type of arthritis that usually affects the big toe, but can develop in any joint in the body
psoriatic arthritis- joint inflammation that affects people with the skin condition, psoriasis
reactive arthritis - can cause inflammation of the joints, eyes, and urethra (the tube that runs from the bladder through the penis in men, or vulva in women, through which urine is passed)

Expert Patients Programme
A free six week course for anyone living with any long-term health condition(s). The programme aims to provide support and develop self confidence to help you feel more in control.

Expert Patients Programme is a free six week course for anyone living with any long-term health condition(s). The programme aims to provide support and develop self confidence to help you feel more in control.

The course looks at:

Dealing with pain and extreme tiredness
Coping with feelings of depression
Relaxation techniques and exercise
Healthy eating
Communicating with family, friends and professionals
Planning for the future
Practicalities
The Expert Patients Programme is run over six weekly sessions with each session lasting two-and-a-half hours. It is facilitated by trained tutors who are themselves living with a long-term condition. The course also has a number of accredited bilingual tutors, who deliver the courses in community languages in a culturally appropriate manner.

Who can take part?
Anyone living with one or more long-term health condition(s).

HOW TO REMEMBER ANYTHING!

As mentioned above a person may train their memory by
associating names with specific illustrations.  This works just
as well with written information.

There are several key words or a key thought in each paragraph
of printed matter that can be associated with an illogical or
ridiculous illustration.  It is much easier to remember and
recall ridiculous associations than it is to recall normal and
uneventful relationships.

As you proceed through any text choose one or several Key words
or key thoughts from each subject and relate the same to a
ridiculous cartoon or illustration.  Actually "see" it in your
minds eye as it relates to the key word or key thought.

When you have occasion to remember a particular matter, the
"picture" should automatically appear to you and the entire
thought should be recalled.  Be sure to SEE the ridiculous
picture associated with the printed matter you wish to recall.

As you proceed through a book, practice seeing a picture and
relate it to the key words or the main thought of the written
material.  This method of learning should improve your ability
to retain what you read.  With sufficient "practice" using this
method, many individuals will be able to develop a "photo-Type"
memory.

The Key to this memory system is to "see" the "picture" in your
"mind's eye".  After you have practiced and mastered the system
and are able to get instant flashback recall you should be able
to read most any text material and visualize ridiculous pictures
to associate with the thoughts expressed in the printed
materials.

We suggest you prove this system to yourself.  As you read the
first several pages of information, "see" a picture related to
the words or  thought.  It may be rather difficult to "see" at
first but by constant effort and concentration amazing progress
can be made.  When you have seen the picture, just go on
reading the following subject matter and repeat the process.
Don't be concerned that you will forget the prior subjects!
They should remain imprinted on your mind and recalled later,
instantaneously and clearly.

After you have read several pages, recall the first few
"mind-pictures".  If you originally "saw" the picture as related
to the key thought of the printed material, you should remember
the basic information.

Try it!  It's interesting!  After you have mastered this
learning system, it should be easy to file various programs away
in your memory and recall them as needed to progress in your
search for success.

MEMORY AND PUBLIC SPEAKING TIPS!

The same system mentioned on the previous page may be used to
memorize a speech by linking a series of thoughts to a series of
ridiculous pictures in sequence.

Proper preparation of your  speech is half the battle.  Know you
subject thoroughly then make an outline for the introduction,
main body and conclusion.  Start your speech with something to
startle your audience into complete attention such as a weird
statement or funny happening.

In presenting the main body of your speech get the confidence of
your audience by letting them know you know your  subject very
well.  Get your points across without argument.

In making your conclusion you can briefly sum up what you have
just stated then end with a big bang;  recommending action your
audience should take or suggesting they change their viewpoint
on the subject etc.;  finalize with a joke that fits the
circumstances, or powerful word pictures they will remember
after they leave the meeting.

Make your outline in large print with plenty of space between
lines so you will be able to look up without losing your place
on the sheets.  Rely on your memory for the  most important
points, including the opening and closing lines.

Practice your speech with a tape recorder and in front of a
mirror before the meeting.  Work out any apparent speaking
problems or things that don't sound just right.  Know what you
are going to do with your hands and determine the better body
movements to go with your personality.  Continually make eye
contact back and forth across the room.

Take time to think before answering questions.  If you don't
have the answer, ask another question, refer it to someone else
better qualified to answer, answer in general terms, or change
the subject  (like politicians do) complimenting the person
asking the "impossible" question, or by telling a "clean" joke.

3 Soccer Skills You Need To Master
Although it may seem to a beginning player that soccer requires a wide and diverse range of abilities, all you really need for a superior game is three basic soccer skills. However, mastering these skills requires intense and regular soccer training, both alone and with a team. Here are the three primary skills required by soccer and easy ways to perfect them in your own backyard. 

1. Ball control 
This means being able to take and keep control of the ball in a variety of situations, including while running and while under pressure from an opponent. One of the best ways to master ball control is to work against a wall. Kicking the ball against the wall and responding to its rebounding will allow beginning and intermediate players to get used to the way the ball responds to their foot movements. More advanced players can preselect different techniques, for example blocking the ball only with the inside of their foot, to master using techniques from a variety of angles. 

2. One on one plays 
Whether you are an offensive or defensive player, your interactions with the opposing team will be the key to your success on the soccer field. For defensive players, the most important one on one moves are blocking the other team’s offensive plays and taking possession of the ball. For offensive players, this means being able to get the ball past opponents, usually either by faking or by finding weakness in their techniques. 

Although one on one plays may seem difficult to master on a solo basis, they really boil down to dribbling skills, which are easy to practice alone. You can practice dribbling the ball in a straight line or set up a more complicated course with cones or other obstacles. You can practice fakes by making the ball appear to be going in one direction before quickly moving in another. 

3. Handling the ball 
One skill that all successful soccer players have in common is the ability to accurately and forcefully kick the ball. This means knowing the three main kicking techniques, which are the push pass, the curve, and the instep drive. Another key part of handling the ball is knowing how to head the ball. Again, practice makes perfect. The best way to practice ball handling skills is to use a large number of balls and work on one technique at a time. Having to chase after a ball every time you kick it can keep you from perfecting your technique, so have an arsenal of soccer balls on hand for this exercise. 

Once you have mastered these three main skills, the rest is just details. The key to learning the fundamentals of soccer is regular practice, both as a team and on your own. Practicing your game at home will allow your team to focus on team building and working as a coordinated unit at practice. With no special equipment and no coaching required, there is nothing standing between you and the soccer success you deserve.

In order to earn income with ViSalus you must remain Active. You do this by maintaining

$125 Personal Qualification Volume (PQV) in Auto-Ship Sales or $200 PQV in Retail Sales

per month. This can be a combination of personal product purchases and/or personal

Customers. As an Active Associate you can earn income 8 Different ways.

1 Direct Sales &

Personal Customer Commissions

Retail Sales allow you to earn income by purchasing ViSalus™ products at wholesale

price and then selling them to a customer at the retail price. You can also earn

Personal Customer Commissions from Retail Customers who order direct from ViSalus

under your Distributor ID, as well as Preferred Customers who elect to save up to 25%

off retail price by enrolling in the Auto-Ship program. Personal Customer Commissions

are a sliding scale paid on personal, retail, and preferred customer sales over $200 in

Bonus Volume (BV) cumulative per month (outside the first 30 days). The first 10%

of the Personal Customer Commissions are paid on the Weekly Pay Cycle, while the

balance is paid on the Monthly Pay Cycle. The more customers you acquire,

the more you earn!

Personal Customer Commission Scale

$0–$200 bv (Part of your Active Qualification)

$201–$500 bv 10% bv

$501–$1,000 bv 15% bv

$1,001–$2,500 bv 20% bv

Over $2,500 bv 25% bv

All volume is imported at 100% Bonus Volume (BV). When the 15% Personal Customer Commission level is achieved,

Bonus Volume (BV) is imported at 80% for upline team commissions. When the 20% Personal Customer Commission

level is achieved, BV is imported at 60% for upline team commissions. When the 25% Personal Customer Commission

level is achieved, BV is imported at 40% for upline team commissions. First $200 in personal Bonus Volume (BV) is not

applied to Personal Customer Commissions.

70% RULE: Seventy percent (70%)

of products obtained from ViSalus

must be retailed or consumed

before reorders are made.

Auto–Ship: An optional

convenience program that allows

Customers and Distributors

to create a monthly standing

order with ViSalus. Products are

processed on a selected date at

wholesale price.

BV: Bonus Volume. The amount

of each product sale that

counts toward bonuses and

commissioning. In most cases,

ViSalus products offer "dollar for

dollar BV." For example when

you purchase a Body by Vi

Transformation Kit for $249, it

counts as $249 QV and $249 BV.

Enroller : The Distributor directly

responsible for enrolling a new

Distributor.

Enroller Tree : The line of referral

that is tracked from Enroller to

Enroller.

Fro ntline: A term used to reference

Associates that are Sponsored

directly to you and found on Level

1 of your referral organization.

Level : The number on which a

Distributor lies in your referral

QV: Qualification Volume. The amount

of each product sale that counts

toward qualifying for ViSalus Ranks.

Sponsor : The Distributor directly

above you within the organization.

May or may not also be your

Enroller.

UPLINE: The term "upline" refers to

that portion of either your Enroller

or Sponsor tree that precedes you.

This consists of the Independent

Distributor who is your Enroller

and/or Sponsor, and his/her

Enroller and/or Sponsor, etc.

Wee kly Pay Cycle : Friday through

Thursday night at midnight Pacific

Standard Time. Weekly commissions

and bonuses are paid on the

Monday following the end of the

pay cycle.

2 First Order Bonus

The First Order Bonus is based on the personal product orders placed by a new

Associate at the time of their initial enrollment date and is paid to the first four

Active upline Associates.. Personal product purchased by Associates after their initial

enrollment order will count toward Personal Customer and Team Commissions. These

bonuses follow the Enroller Tree and are paid on the Weekly Pay Cycle. The more

product and samples your new Distributors get out to their contacts, the faster their

business will grow!

3 Rising Star Weekly

Enroller’s Pool

The Weekly Enroller’s Pool is special company revenue sharing

incentive reserved exclusively for Rising Stars. It highlights the

fundamental building block of the ViSalus™ Compensation Plan—The Power of 3!

If all you ever did was become a Rising Star and focus on getting into the Weekly

Enroller’s Pool, and you duplicated that throughout your organization, you would

move rapidly through the ViSalus Career Path.

ViSalus places 2% of the total company Bonus Volume (BV) from the previous four

weeks into this revenue Pool. One quarter of the pool is paid each of the following

four weeks to those who qualify.

Here is how you can qualify for the Weekly Enroller’s Pool this week:

Weekly Enroller’s Pool Point System

Become a Rising Star = 3 points

3 New Associates* = 3 points

3 Preferred Customers* = 3 points

*Must total minimum of $500 QV

Each Additional $490 in QV above the first $500 = Bonus 3 points

If you are an Associate and enroll 3 people with an ESS, you will

earn a $50 Fast Start Bonus from the product within each ESS.

There are no time restrictions on the Fast Start Bonus, but if you

accomplished this within one week’s time, you would be paid

$150 on Monday!

Fast Start Bonus Overrides can be earned once you achieve Regional Director or

above based on the difference between the Fast Start Bonus earned at your rank, and

achieve Regional Director so that you are still rewarded on the production within your

team coming from Distributors at the same or higher rank as you.

5 Team Commissions

As a ViSalus™ Distributor, your focus will be on creating a retail and preferred customer

base, as well as building an organization, or team, of other Distributors. As you

progress through the ViSalus Career Path you will earn increasing Team Commissions

from the product sales generated throughout your Distributor organization.

The Team Commissions section of the ViSalus™ Compensation Plan is called a Unilevel

with Compression. That means you will earn a percentage through a certain number

of levels of referral within your organization. The higher the rank you achieve, the

more levels from which you can earn commissions. The ViSalus compensation plan

uses "compression" to allow you to earn on sales originating down deeper within your

referral line. A level is determined by an Active Associate. Any Customer or Distributor

volume that is not generated from an Active Associate will "compress" and be counted

in the volume of the Level immediately above.

Compress ion: The possibility of

accumulating sales volume from

multiple levels of Distributors, and

only counting as one pay level.

Sponsor Tree : The line of referral that

is tracked from Sponsor to Sponsor.

Commissions follow the Sponsor

Tree.

Leadership Depth Bonus (LDB)

Over time, it is very possible that your organization may grow beyond 8 levels of referral.

This is why we created the Leadership Depth Bonus (LDB) available at Ambassador. Once

you achieve the rank of Ambassador, you will earn a 2% LDB on all the Bonus Volume (BV)

from your level 9 through infinity. When you help someone else within your organization

achieve the rank of Ambassador, your LDB will increase to 4% through that Ambassador’s

8 Levels, and you will still earn a 2% LDB through infinite levels below. You will earn a LDB

all the way through your second Ambassador’s 8 compressed levels in any given leg. The

Enroller & Placement Sponsor Relationship:

In tracking both of these relationships, ViSalus™ allows you to support your team by

placement sponsoring Associates within your organization, while still earning many bonuses

that follow the enroller tree as if each new Associate were placed frontline on your Level 1.

Waiting Room:

All new personally Enrolled and Sponsored Associates will remain in a Vi-Net "Waiting Room"

on your Level 1 and can be repositioned one time within your organization within 60 days of

their enrollment date. While new Associates are in the Waiting Room, all commissions and

bonuses are still paid on the normal Weekly and Monthly Pay Cycles. This allows for very fast

Rolling Qualification Volume (RQV):

Any new Associate who starts on or after the 15th of the monthly production period will have

What is Auto-Ship ?

An optional convenience program that allows Customers or Distributors to create a

monthly standing order with ViSalus™. Your products will be delivered to you on a regular

basis at wholesale price. You can set your order to be shipped on the 5th, 12th, or 19th of

every month. You can place your Auto-Ship order on hold, change it, or cancel it at any time

online, or by calling 1-877-ViSalus . (Please notify us at least 5 business days prior to your

next scheduled Auto-Ship order.)

If I go inactive, what happens to my volume and my ViSalus

organization?

You must be Active to earn commissions in any given pay period. If you are not Active,

you miss any commission that could have been earned in that pay period. You can

become Active again at any time and start earning commission on new sales within your

organization. In order to maintain your ViSalus Distributorship, you must pay a $25 Annual

Administration Free within 60 days of your enrollment anniversary, otherwise you are at risk

of losing your Distributorship and organization.

Once I have earned commissions, how and when will I get paid?

With ViSalus™, you can get paid by check, or by ViSalus Prosperity Card. The Prosperity Card

is a ViSalus branded MasterCard that comes with an online account management system,

the ability to transfer commissions to a personal bank account, and can be used wherever

MasterCard is accepted. Third party card fees do apply for the Prosperity Card. The ViSalus

Weekly Pay Cycle is Friday through Thursday at midnight Pacific Standard Time and is paid

on the following Monday! The Monthly Pay Cycle is paid on the 15th of the month, and is

based on the previous month’s production.

Will taxes be taken out of my commissions?

As a ViSalus™ Distributor, you are self–employed, or an independent business owner. ViSalus

does not take taxes out of your commissions, and will issue you a 1099 tax form at the end

of the year. It is your responsibility to ensure that you seek appropriate tax advice.

How long should I expect to participate before I start to make an

income?

ViSalus™ cannot ever guarantee that everyone will make an income with our

opportunity. While everyone’s income goals are different, we recommend that you

treat your ViSalus Distributorship as a business and that you dedicate the time and

energy you feel are necessary to reach your goals. Remember that many bonuses

within our Compensation Plan are paid weekly, so an action today may yield a

commission as soon as Monday!

COMPENSATION PLAN TERMS & ADVANTAGES

QV: Qualifi cation Volume. The amount of each product sale that

counts toward qualifying for ViSalus Ranks.

BV: Bonus Volume. The amount of each product sale that counts

toward bonuses and commissioning. In most cases ViSalus products

offer "dollar for dollar BV." For example when you purchase a TSS

weight loss program for $125, its counts at $125QV and $125BV.

PQV: Personal Qualifi cation Volume. Total QV from all personal and

customer orders tied to your ViSalus Distributor ID.

GQV: Group Qualifi cation Volume. Total QV of all sales volume

generated within your team.

ROLLING QV: Any new Associate who starts on or after the 15th of

the month will have all QV generated within the remainder of their

fi rst month roll forward into the next full month’s production.

BV commissions follow the normal monthly pay cycle.

LEVEL: All "Active" Associates count as a level for your

Team Commissions.

UNILEVEL COMPRESSION: A "Level" compresses everything from one

Active Associate and above to another Active Associate and above.

RANK PROMOTION: ViSalus Rank Promotions run weekly on

Thursdays at midnight.

GRACE PERIOD: When a new Rank of RD or above is achieved for

the fi rst time, the Associate will remain at least that Rank for two
